Post #1173 – FABA Collage Mag

I was very excited to receive my copy of FABA Collage Mag #2 in the mail yesterday, which includes two brand new collages I contributed (“Bloodfire” and “The Sirens Simply Vanished”) as well as short interviews about each piece and a photo of my studio space.

I don’t think many people know this, but FABA Collage Mag? gives a percentage of it’s profits to the artists  featured in each issue (unlike most other small art publications, which often charge a submission fee just to even be considered for inclusion).  Much respect to the crew behind this mag for that, and for stepping up and doing something positive.   It’s not about “Do-It-Yourself”, it’s about “Doing-It-Together.”  That’s an attitude that I can get behind.

And I’m honored to be included in issue #2, along with so many other great artists. Please consider ordering a copy for yourself:

Post #1169 – Sturgill Simpson poster

I recently had the honor of designing this print for Sturgill Simpson’s sold out show at the TLA in Philly. These were a gift to the band from Live Nation, who wanted the poster to have a psychedelic vibe. This is a 3 color silkscreen on 100# Poptone Berrylicious French paper, printed by ABNRML.  Only 60 were produced – I have a limited number for sale in the shop so, if you’re interested, get one before they are gone.

Post #1168 – Young Wonder/Intergalactic

I’m excited to announce I’ve been working with Irish band Young Wonder to create some collage art for their upcoming album & single releases.  First up is Intergalactic, a heavenly slice of electro-pop ear candy (but don’t take my word for it – listen below) which dropped this past Tuesday.  More to come in the next few months so stay tuned for info.  In the meantime, do yourself a favor and check out the band on facebook, twitter,  instagram, etc.

I was very honored to contribute a collage to the new book Z2A (Benzene Editions), which features 26 collage artists reinterpreting the alphabet. My contribution (for the letter “U”) is entitled Upperhand.  It’s a cut paper collage on paper and the original size is 10″ x 13″. The book is available in both print ($15) and digital ($3)  formats – click here to pick one up or to just take a peek.

Thank you to Allan Beady for including me.
