I had a dream the other night that The Situation played with The Descendants and Black Flag at some old high school gymnasium. Man, what a great gig! Rollins was young, skinny and intense – rocking his long haired ‘80’s look circa Slip It On In. The Descendants stole the show, though, with an insane high energy set complete with a full on stage invasion and tons of pogoing. I remember being stoked that they played Coolidge and a bunch o track from I Don’t Want to Grow Up. I spent most of both sets hanging out at the merchandise table. I’m pretty sure The Minutemen played as well but, unfortunately, I don’t remember their set, which is disappointing because they were such a great band. Waking up is so hard sometimes.
