Schroeder and The Lift Up to perform at Mojo Main in Newark, Delaware

Super stoked to announce The Lift Up will be playing a very special show Friday June 14th at Mojo Main with one of my favorite 90s bands, schroeder. If you follow this site, you know I go way back with those guys – first as a fan, then as a friend. Their guitarist Nick D. has always been a huge inspiration – he co-produced a few tracks on Nero’s Sanguine record, which their band also helped us release on their Zowie Records label. I’ve played on stage with them numerous times over the year. This is their first show with a new drummer, and I’m told they’ve been working on a new record so I’m anxious to see what they’ve got cooking. Also playing are Troubled Hips, featuring another old friend, Rock Martel, who used to play in the Young Vulgarians, whose album cover I designed years ago. So it’s going to be a fun night with some great music. And did I mention we’ll be debuting a new tune as well? This will be our last Newark, De show for a while so don’t sleep on it.  RSVP facebook style here.

We will be playing Baltimore in July though – more on that soon. And be on the look out for the band’s new website in the coming months. And yes, we are finally mixing the record. Keep your fingers crossed and wish our ears luck.
