“Black Soot on a Gauze Veil” is part of a new series of moving collages that I have been working on. This piece uses images taken from vintage black and white public domain movies, which I have “cut up” in the same way that I would cut up vintage magazines for a paper collage. I have seen anything like this before and I am really excited about the possibilities of working

I have six other collages completed in this series, including some with sound design created by Brian McTear. We are in the process of designing an installation exhibit of these pieces and are looking into locations and grant funding. More information on that as things progress forward.
