It is always an honor to have a piece included in the National Collage Society’s Annual Juried Show. This year’s exhibition is at the galleries at Kean Univeristy. It will open on August 29 and run until September 30th. If you can’t make it in person, then you can still view the whole exhibition online here.
The opening reception will be held Wednesday September 6 from 5:30-8pm. I’ll be there – hope you will too. The Galleries at Kean are located at 1003 Morris Avenue #2, Union, New Jersey 07083..
My collage this year is Truthful WItness. I made it with cut paper and vintage magazine on paper. Completed June 2023. The size is 12 x 18 inches. I created this collage for Allyson McCabe’s book, Why Sinéad O’Connor Matters. The collage won an honorable mention award for this year’s exhibition

About the Exhibition
Collage offers artists unparalleled opportunities to create concepts and designs and lend a sense of texture that simply isn’t possible through other mediums. Visual elements are thoughtfully combined, producing a new image that conveys a message or idea.
The Galleries at Kean hosts the National Collage Society’s 39th Juried Exhibit fall 2023. This Exhibit is open to the public for 5 weeks in the Liberty Hall Academic Center Gallery at Kean University.
It features collages from dozens of national and international artists. The breadth of entries showcase this often understated yet challenging and highly rewarding form of artmaking.
The National Collage Society, Inc. (NCS, Inc.) is an art foundation that fosters the appreciation and interest in the art medium of collage. Collage as an art form has only been identified during the 20th century. The NCS, Inc. promotes the advancement of collage as a major art medium and assists in the education of the public through exhibits, workshops, lectures and publications.
